The Tornado Team, launched in February 2012, is an important and exciting new way of supporting the work of The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust.
Twenty two years ago a group of people came together with a vision to recreate a Peppercorn A1 Pacific. In 2008 that vision became a reality as No. 60163 Tornado moved under its own power for the first time. The Trust is now looking to the future and, most importantly, ensuring that the work of the last twenty two years is carried on by the next generation of steam enthusiasts. Designed specifically with the younger Tornado fan in mind, we hope the Tornado Team will foster a genuine care for and understanding of the locomotive that will ensure the continuation of the work of the Trust for many years to come.
