This project, alone among many such ‘new build’ projects that have been launched, has finally been completed. However, of the £3 million raised and spent on the construction of Tornado, £500,000 of debt remains to be repaid.

Tornado's entry into main line service has been a huge success and this is reflected in the continued inflow of funds. This has been achieved primarily through the simple but effective device of getting people to pay small amounts regularly; specifically, £5 or multiples of £5 every month although other fundraising schemes are also now in place.

And now there is another unique way in which you can help us with a vitally important missing piece of the jigsaw.  Click on the “Support Coach” link on the right hand side of this page to read more about our latest fund raising initiative to raise the “bread” for Tornado’s very own support coach.  By buying a “slice”, a “doorstep”, “half a loaf” or a “loaf”, you can help the Trust finance the overhaul and restoration of a dedicated support coach, in return for which you will receive several benefits.  So please “use your loaf” and complete a donation form today - and Tornado could be running with her own support coach by October 2010.
